West Point Society of Philadelphia
Leadership and Ethics Conference

October 13, 2026 at St. Josephs University

The West Point Society of Philadelphia's Leadership and Ethics Conference will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at St. Joseph’s University's Mandeville Hall.  There is no cost for you or your students to attend this event.  Registration for this event will close on October 5th.

For this year's Leadership and Ethics Conference, we are extending invitations to those students from area high schools in their sophomore and junior years in the 2026- 2027 academic year, as well as one faculty/teacher/counselor per high school.  Space is initially limited to 8 students and one counselor per high school.  As we get closer to the event and as resources allow, we may open the event to more students and/or faculty/teachers/counselors.  We please ask that the school register the attending students, as opposed to students registering themselves.

This eight-hour conference will explore ethical issues of honor, respect, and leadership as related to the students’ lives, their peers, faculty/teachers/counselors, and members of their communities.  The curriculum was originally developed in coordination with the Chair for Character Development at the United States Military Academy.  Conference leaders and moderators will interactively explore critical leadership & ethical issues with attendees and focused on:
·  Thinking critically about relevant ethical topics;
·  Examining aspects of leadership and the values of honor and respect;
·  Sharing learned values with others; and
·  Preparing individuals to be leaders of character in their high schools and communities.

Keynote Speakers:
Major General (RET) Jamie Shawley, Thayer Leadership
Joseph Fay, COO, Founding Forward Foundation

We believe this will be an excellent opportunity for your students, especially those who demonstrate leadership abilities or those who have the potential for leadership, but may need an experience like this to help them down that road.

Should you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact Steve Mapa @smapa@medtechvets.org.
We look forward to seeing you in October!
